Million dollar views, without the hefty price tag ...

London is filled with non-stop instaworthy sights! But after exploring throughout the city, there's nothing better than viewing it from above. A different perspective to this energetic city; be it from a roof terrace, park or museum, you will surely be blown away. London is overflowing with rooftop bars and restaurants, but what if I told you, that you could admire London's iconic skyline, without spending a dime? Well, I've got six perfect locations to admire this ever evolving capital.

1. Sky Garden

This has got the be the best view of London, and the best part is that it is completely free! Located on the 34th floor of the Walkie Talkie Building, this oasis features views across the city spanning from the Olympic Arena, in Stratford to Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster.

Note: Make sure to book your visit online, tickets are available a week in advance.

Tip: Keep an eye out for pop-up events through their website. They sporadically host fitness sessions prior to public admittance.

2. One New Change

Still relatively unknown by most tourists, this shopping centre, plays host to one of London's best, inner city views. Browse through the shops or dine in one of the fantastic eateries before heading to the roof to enjoy views of the Shard, the City, Tate Modern, the London Eye and St Paul's Cathedral.

Tip: Bring some nibbles and watch the sky come alive as the sun sets over the city.

3. The Switch House, Tate Modern

Another Central London viewing platform, this one on the South Bank. Enjoy yourself some phenomenal modern art before making your way to the viewing platform, all for free! Take in 360 degree views across the city, with vistas as far as Wembley Stadium on a clear day.

4. Parliament Hill, Hampstead Heath

It feels a world away from the city, but Parliament Hill has got to be my favourite park view over the capital. See the entire skyline whilst sitting in one of the most beautiful parks. I'm a sucker for picnics and this is the ultimate picnic spot. Sunset or sunrise, you won't be disappointed. Just be warned that it gets ridiculously busy on hot summer weekends.

5. Primrose Hill, Regent's Park

A favourite amongst locals and tourists, this protected view showcases a view of the skyline to the south. Another perfect picnic location, or the ideal vantage point for the annual Guy Fawkes Fireworks.

Tip: Make sure you visit the nearby Camden Market.

6. Greenwich Park, Greenwich

One of London's iconic parks also boasts an incredible view over the city skyline. Offering views to the west, you can admire the City, the Shard and the O2 arena. While you're there, why not visit the Royal Observatory and Greenwich Market.

Tip: If you love a good sunset, this is another perfect spot. Bring some bubbles and nibbles and you've got the perfect sunset picnic.

So, if you're ever in London, make sure you visit at least one of these viewpoints, because they are incredible, and of course free! If you know of any other free skyline views, comment below, I'd love to discover some more ...
